Today at 3pm ET/Noon PT, I'll be holding my third live online video town hall, and I want you to join me!
I've already had two live online town hall meetings, and they have been really successful. I've been able to reach out to voters from Idaho and friends like you from across the country and answer their questions -- face to face. I hope you'll stick around and join the conversation! Just ask your questions in the chat room below.
Update: Thanks to everybody who participated in today's 3rd online town hall meeting! You can watch video from today's event below. I look forward to chatting more with you online very soon!
My opponent, Jim Risch, doesn't care for modern forms of communication. He is running an arms length campaign and is still out of touch with the concerns of Idahoans. As the Idaho Statesman said, "GOP Lt. Gov. Jim Risch is a dinosaur who writes by hand and uses dictation, doesn't use email, and pays no mind to blogs or online news."
That's why technology is a big part of this campaign. From live online video town halls and liveblogging to Facebook and MySpace, I want to reach out to citizens I might not otherwise have a chance to meet and make sure their voices are heard. They deserve a Senator who makes that kind of effort and who is willing to answer their questions directly -- without a third party filter.
That's why I hope you'll participate, right here, in our online town hall meeting. I look forward to "seeing" you online -- and answering some of your questions!
If you're so inclined, I hope you'll make a contribution to our people-powered campaign -- and help fuel a huge victory here in Idaho come November!
